What Is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is like a self-performed acupressure, using light tapping to stimulate various points on the body. Clients find that it is an empowering tool to have in their kit of self-care to help with emotional release, especially when they find themselves in situations where they need to limit emotional expression (ie. at work, in public, etc.). Lee's personal experience as a therapist is that EFT is a useful tool in the short-term but does not have the same long-term results as EMDR for processing emotional material and sustaining positive thought patterns.
